Registry Goals

The implementation of immunization registries will be the single most effective method for raising immunization rates for children of all backgrounds.  Maintaining a computerized registry of immunization information will:

	Consolidate in one site, all immunizations a child has received.
	Help ensure that a child’s immunizations are up to date.
	Reduce duplicate immunizations and their associated costs.
	Help identify high-risk and under-immunized populations.
	Help control vaccine-preventable diseases and prevent disease outbreaks.

The Childhood Immunization Partnership works with immunization providers in Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties by providing technology assessments and training necessary for their participation on this web-based registry.
