IMPACT has also awarded sponsorships to two Fresno City College honor societies:

Theta Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa

Alpha Zeta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Sigma

Both of these outstanding organizations have adopted a tobacco-free policy for their chapters and for events that they sponsor.  In addition, they are leading the advocacy effort for a tobacco-free policy for the Fresno City College campus.  Honor society members in collaboration with IMPACT celebrated Earth Day and Cinco de Mayo on the Fresno City College campus by educating students, staff, and visitors on the dangers of exposure to the toxic brew of deadly secondhand smoke.

Students and staff stopping by the IMPACT table on campus received educational materials on tobacco and a free raffle ticket for drawings held every half hour.  Cowboy and cowgirl hats were the items most prized by raffle winners.  The ultimate winners will be everyone associated with FCC who will no longer have to breathe secondhand smoke when the administration adopts a tobacco-free policy.

Everyone has the right to breathe clean air.
