 Goals

  Strengthen a regional workforce that reflects the racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic makeup of the population and is distributed to meet the primary care needs of the Central Valley

  Implement and institutionalize an innovative, interdisciplinary educational model that prepares CNMs, NPs, and PAs for primary care in the Central Valley communities

  Improve access to educational pathways

  Enhance community representation and involvement in the project

  Enhance faculty and preceptor development with improvement in clinical coordination in the target region

  Enhance the viability of CNMs, NPs, and PAs by promoting their professional roles and reducing practice barriers

  Secure financial stability of the CCCP beyond the six-year grant period

 


The San Joaquin Valley Health Consortium was founded in 1972. Our mission throughout the San Joaquin Valley is to improve healthcare.  This is done by taking a proactive role to identify needs, acquire resources, coordinate the use of resources, disseminate information, promote health education and respond to health opportunities.
