In early 2008, San Joaquin Valley Health Consortium, in partnership with our co-principal investigators: University Medical Center, UCSF, and the Central Valley Health Policy Institute, completed a breast cancer navigator pilot research project funded by the California Breast Cancer Research Program. Our community partners were committed throughout the project to sharing resources. So, as the project came to a close, we wanted to make sure that what we learned about local resources was made available to the community at large. This information site was developed to share local, regional, statewide and national information concerning breast health services and treatment options. This directory is filled with the names of organizations providing direct services, information, and resources for individuals and families affected by breast cancer. The staff and volunteers of these organizations are people who care, and who work in collaboration with other agencies to reduce the incidence of this disease and support those living with it. San Joaquin Valley Health Consortium extends grateful appreciation to the following organizations and individuals who understand how vital it is for current information to be readily accessible to our community. On behalf of every strong and courageous individual fighting to beat this disease, we express our sincere thanks.
